About the Teacher

My sister and I love visiting our family ranch in Oregon.

Hi. I'm very excited to be your child's teacher this year. It is my seventh year teaching. I taught third grade previously in Arizona and also English as a Second Language to adults and children in Florida and Massachusetts. I have also volunteered with Literacy Volunteers of America, providing tutoring to migrant families and distributing books to newborns in clinics. I graduated from Western Oregon University in 2000 and received my teaching credentials from Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. I enjoy learning and incorporating new ideas and technologies into my lessons each year. I would like to bring a computer literacy/Internet safety component to my curriculum. A goal I have for our school is to have a school garden so students can see where their food comes from and make better eating choices.

Married to my wonderful husband, Matt, we have a beautiful daughter, Sabrina. She keeps us busy and is a delight.
